A memory from growing up in Needham Heights, Massachusetts circa around 1950. Our little dog 'Lucky' would run up the street to greet my mother as she walked home from work. I grew up on Hillside Ave across the street from the Cricket Field, my house is the one in the middle near the field. It seemed like all the apple trees would lose their blossoms all at the same time and it was like snow in the springtime!
This is a digital painting rendition of the original watercolor that is over my livingroom fireplace here at Lobster Pot Lodge in Plymouth, Mass.

Hello! And thank you to all the THOUSANDS of visitors to my Fine Art America online art gallery! Growing up in Needham, Massachusetts I was influenced by the paintings and illustrations of N. C. Wyeth who lived in Needham and donated the paintings he used for books and magazines to the Needham Public Library. They have a great collection of his artwork there now. This is where I would go to immerse myself in his artwork and the artwork of all the book illustrators. Ludwig Bemelmans became another of my favorites and so I became a watercolorist and muralist at an early age. I spent my high school years taking Saturday classes at Mass College of Art in Boston and spent quite a bit of time in the art department at Needham High School...
